भल भाग भया इह संभल के हरिजू हरि मंदिर आवह गे

“Sambhal Nagaree is so blessed that ShreeHari would take birth there” – Dasham Granth, composed by Guru Govind Singh

Guru Govind Singh, the last Sikh Guru, goes at length to describe the peak of Kaliyuga, wherein people irrespective of being Hindus or Muslims, would be living with extremely low family moral values, devoid of any respect for scriptures inducling Veda, Puran or even Kuran!

Apparently, these would be times when idol worship of gods would banned by State Orders. It’s in these circumstances, in the holy town of Sambhal, a Brahmin would attempt worship of Goddess Kali irrespective of fear of consequences, and then the local rulers informed by his wife would attempt to stop him.

To protect that fearless devotee, who is keeping on the fight of Dharma irrespective of, Kalki Avatar of Vishnu would happen , with a certain ferocity, unlike his previous Avatar.

After defeating the ruler of Sambhal, a mega expedition would happen which would engulf areas of Kabul(Afghanistan), Baluch, Khurasan, Babylon (Iraq) Rum (Turkey) & Syria in East, Golkonda (Telangana) to Setubandh (Tamil Nadu) in south, Nepal to Bang (Bangladesh) in east and Chin to Russia in north, establishing Dharma over Adharma, as per the version of Guru Govind Singh.

The legends as described in Dasham Granth, also describes albeit briefly, the character of Meer Mehendi, coming post this Avatar. It’s to be noted that character sounds a lot like Mahadi, as described in prophecies of Gazhwa-E-hind.

While seekers and scholars, may keep debating whether or not, such Avatar would happen, has already happened or yet to happen & when, but there’s no doubt that Kalki Avatar of Vishnu, has kept the hope for patrons of Sanaatan Dharma aligned alive, across diverse faiths!

On Kalki Dwadashi, We at Dhaama Planning & Services celebrate the sacred lands where such pastimes are to happen, and would be happy to organise special trips for our customers to Sambhal Dhaama!
